The Orange County Public Schools Coordinated School Health will be hosting a mini conference on August 5-7, 2008. Location will be announced.
The “ADAP Day of Dialog” will be on July 29, 2008. Lorrain Wells and Stephanie Brown from the Bureau of ADAP Office will be coming to Orlando. The meeting will be held at the HFUW. The consumers, those accessing ADAP will meet from 10:00am - 12:00 noon and the providers will meet from 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
The Planning Council and the Part A Office will be sponsoring a workshop on “How to Work with the Transgender Population and HIV Care” at the Center for Drug Free Living Office.
CMWP Nyelah Project is sponsoring a National HIV Testing Day activity in Apopka. There will be a Festival/Carnival at the Taylor Apartments on June 27, 2008 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. There will be activities for the kids, breast cancer and tobacco education, and also rapid testing.
The National HIV Testing Day statewide kick-off will be on June 27, 2008, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Orange Blossom Family Health Center, also known as, “The Health Care Center for the Homeless.” There will be rapid testing, STD screenings and other health screenings will be performing all day.
The next CFAP Meeting will be on July 3, 2008 at 12:00 pm at Project Response in Brevard.
There will be training at the next Planning Council Meeting on June 25, 2008 on how to do the Priority Setting and Resource Allocation.
The July 30, 2008 Priority Setting Meeting will move to August 6, 2008 from 3:00 pm to….
